Someone is living inside this strange chimney home in the middle of a forest. The person that owns this particular painting told me once that she thought she could see a fairy wing in the light shining out of the door.

Here is a dragon having a sleep while his friend the Robin stays awake and waits for the morning.

The moose is one of my favourite animals as it seems to me to be an excellent combination of tree and animal. This beast here has tree branches where his antlers would normally be. I imagine that at Christmas time, little luminous red berries grow on the branch antlers- and this creature wanders the hills like a mobile Christmas tree.

Here’s a curious whale watching a passing illuminated treeship.

I always thought that a teapot would make a good home for anyone small enough to fit inside. And it's a great use for a teapot that has been retired from tea making! All you would need to do is prop up the lid and you would have an instant skylight! I think there is a fireplace beneath the spout of this one, and whoever lit the fire has put something strange in the kindling that conjures up castles. I think perhaps there is a pixie family here- pixies of the sort that can fly.

This bear wanders around with a gramophone on his head, taking song requests from forest dwellers.

A nocturnal rainbow produced by a robot

A grandfather taking his curious grand bebe for a walk

This painting is from 2014 and is of one of my favourite mountains- Ruapehu.

This painting is from 2013 and is based on a photo I took in Wanaka many years ago, of a cloud that looked to me like Falcor (The luck dragon from The Neverending Story). This gave me the perfect excuse to do a painting combining three things I love- clouds, snowy southern alps scenery and dragons. I am really happy that this picture belongs to a lovely friend who shares my appreciation for all these things.

This is a little winter fairy (acrylic on board) that I finished painting in December 2015. I first saw my first proper snowflakes when I was about 8 (and when I say ‘proper’, I am referring to those with beautiful star-like shapes) and was totally enchanted. This fairy knows exactly what I’m talking about.
